2024

  • The Pahmeyer brand's product packaging has beencompletely convertedto recyclable materials*. All components - from the plastic tray to the sealing film to the labels - are now made of mono-PP (polypropylene), a uniform plastic mono-material. This change offers a major advantage: whendisposed of in the yellow garbage can, the packaging can be separated by type and thus recycled much more easily. This saves valuable resources!

*Theoretical recyclability of 96% of plastic packaging under optimum sorting and recycling conditions, certified by cyclos-HTP.

2022

  • Commissioning of a new 749kWp photovoltaic system installed on the potato hall roofs. A PV system produces emission-free electricity and thus makes a valuable contribution to environmental and climate protection
  • Conversion of the freezer systems cooled with liquid nitrogen to electrically cooled systems powered by 100% green electricity

2021

  • Packaging offensive from September: reduction in the weight of plastic trays used for products. This resulted in a saving of 15% of the plastic used per product - 16 tons of plastic were saved as a result
  • Successfully completed test with 100% recyclable mono-PP packaging in the production process
  • Doubling the area under flowering mixtures (compared to the previous year) to preserve biodiversity: a total of 150,000 square meters!
  • Installation of UVC systems to reduce odors from production

2020

  • Commissioning of an anaerobic and aerobic wastewater treatment plant on the farm
  • Official partner of the Center for Sustainable Corporate Management (ZNU)
  • First-time calculation of total CO2 emissions along the value chain (Scope 1-3)
  • Establishment of a sustainability team and appointment of a sustainability manager
  • Recognized training company: Specialist for food technology & machine and plant operator (m/f/d)

2019

  • Inauguration of the new energy-efficient production hall and the new administration building (to KfW 55 standard), including climate-friendly electric CO2 cooling systems

2008

  • Foundation of Kartoffelmanufaktur GmbH & Co KG: generation of new jobs in the region
  • Commissioning of the first photovoltaic system on the farm

2002

  • Sustainable energy generation: Commissioning of the farm's own biogas plant - we work with 100% green electricity
  • Expansion of the farm to include a peeling plant: transport routes are shortened
